Magic Hat

This magic show scene showcases a whimsical animated wand that brings a hat to life. Overflowing with energy, the hat flips over, releasing a burst of magical playing cards followed by dazzling, sparkling fireworks. The project was crafted in Houdini using a combination of stylized pyro effects, layered particle simulations, vellum cloth simulations, and character animation, blending dynamic visual elements to create an enchanting and energetic display. My focus for this piece was to get the smoke and particles to react in a very surreal way, creating swirls and interesting visuals that could not typically happen in the real world.
